Two Chocolate Chip Cookies

Two Chocolate Chip Cookies

Servings 2 cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs. softened butter
  • 2 tbs. dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbs. granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 1- 1.5 oz chopped dark chocolate (or any chocolate you prefer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined and fluffy. Then beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until just combined. Add in the flour, salt, and baking soda and beat until there are no dry pockets of flour remaining and the dough is smooth.

  2. Using a spatula, fold in the chopped chocolate. Divide the dough roughly in half, and use a spoon to dollop it onto your prepared baking sheet. The cookies do not have to be perfectly round- just dollops are totally fine! Bake the cookies for 13-15 minutes, or until they are puffed, and just golden around the edges. Cool for 10 minutes on the pan before enjoying!
